The Cross in Groom

While I was in Groom, Texas this past week, we stopped by one of the most incredible things I've ever seen. Someone picked Groom to be the home of the 2nd largest Cross in the Western Hemisphere. This structure is 190 feet tall and weighs 2 and a half million pounds (1,250 tons). It also has all kinds of different statues symbolizing the stages of the cross and other well known scenes of Jesus.
There was one particular statue that was pretty moving. It was a statue of Jesus holding on to a tiny baby and it was dedicated in memory of all the babies that were aborted without getting a chance at life.

If you're ever in the Groom, Texas area, make this part of your travels because it truly is amazing. For more information click here.
