Do I Really Need a Twitter?

Twitter? ...Why? I have a cell phone, a home phone, an office phone, unlimited text messages, multiple voice mail accounts, picture mail, a facebook account, an AIM, a blog, and now you're telling me that I need a Twitter account? Once again I ask, Why?

That's the question I've been asking for a few months now, but here's the answer. With every new portal of communication comes another opportunity to connect with people. Twitter allows you to get a glimpse into the lives of your closest friends, family members or special celebrity that you may be curious about. It gives you an opportunity to document your day and share with the world what you're up to. ...trust me, even if you don't think you're that interesting, you'll be surprised to find out that many people will keep up with you if you let them.

For me, the hesitation in getting a Twitter was the fact that I would have to update multiple communication portals and I didn't want to take the time or effort it took to keep up with all of it. With this new application called TweetDeck, you can connect your Facebook to your Twitter account and when you update one it will update the other. Awesome! http://www.tweetdeck.com/beta
