Jailee's Bad Dream

Last night, my 3 and a half year old little girl, Jailee came into our room in the middle of the night and scared Audra to death.  I never heard her because once I’m asleep there’s not a siren, or a train, or a fire alarm loud enough to wake me up.  But Audra shared this story with me this morning and I couldn’t help but pass it along for you to enjoy.

Jailee was hysterical and screaming, in an all out panic because of a squirrel that was in her bed trying to poop on her.  She was saying crazy things like, Mommy get the squirrel fuzz off of me, and, it got wood and mud all in my bed.  Audra said that she was very convincing.  She grabbed Jailee by the hand and proceeded to take her into her bedroom where she would show her that it was only a dream and there was nothing to worry about.

Apparently as they entered the room, they turned on the light and when they did, there was a small piece of lint on the carpet next to Jailee’s bed.  And when Jailee saw it, life, as she knew it came to a screeching halt and she was overcome with hysteria.  Jailee started screaming, “I told you Mommy!  That was part of the fuzz that was trying to get me!  AHHHH!”

As Audra told me this story this morning, I thought it was really funny, but she said that wasn’t even the best part.  She went on to say that Jailee was so convincing in talking about the attack, that she caught herself panning over the room like Jack Bauer looking for the squirrel!  Mother’s instinct or mental illness… You be the judge!

I don’t know any dream interpreters, but if you’re out there, I would love to hear what you think all of this mean!  J
