Sunday Conversation with Dwight Howard

I couldn't be more proud of my friend Dwight Howard. Throughout the playoff's he's shown himself to be a class act... even with 5 Technical Fouls in the last series against Lebron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers. :-( What can I say... the boy is passionate!

Dwight is a very passionate young man with a tremendous amount of talent, but he remains humble enough to see areas where needs to improve in order to become the very best he can be. Dwight is known as a basketball player, but what makes me so proud is his boldness in professing and proclaiming his love for Jesus Christ.

Many people don't remember Dwight's first interview after being drafted #1 overall. The reporter asked what goals Dwight had for his career in the NBA and Dwight responded by saying that he wanted to see the Cross of Jesus Christ added to the NBA logo. That's pretty bold for an 18 year old on draft day.

Dwight Howard and the Orlando Magic kick off the NBA Finals series against Kobe Bryant and the Los Angeles Lakers this Thursday at 8pm Central. I've got a good feeling that this series will be one to remember. Go Magic!
