Night of Promise

As a parent, I can’t think of too many things more frightening than the teen sex-stats in America today. The latest poll shows that 75% of teenagers have had sex by the time they graduate High School and only 15% remain virgins until the age of 21.

We live in a world that is working overtime in convincing our students that sex is a part of the teenage life and we, as the church, are committed to redirecting the conversation and letting them know what God, the creator of sex has to say about it.

Consider this a personal invitation to an event on Friday, February 25th at 6:30pm called “Night of Promise” where we’ll be addressing this very thing. If you have a teenager, I highly recommend you making this a priority in your family. Your family will enjoy a catered meal and then have an evening of worship together, as we look the God’s Word to define when and where sexuality ought to be a part of our lives.

The evening will conclude with a ‘Commitment’ time. If you would like to purchase a purity ring, they are available in the bookstore at the Woodway Campus. Tickets for the dinner are $10 per person and the evening attire is business casual. Please contact Rachel Gaines at rgaines@second.org to RSVP as soon as possible. I hope to see you at Night of Promise.
